Meet the team
With an undying love for Polar Spring seltzer and the tendency to belt out 90’s lite rock in the office, Kate finds satisfaction in the little things like backyard bonfires, inspirational quotes, and tending her flock of chickens. She’s hungry for life and she loves with a fierceness that translates to anyone in her circle – from our guests to our staff to her family and friends. Someone who would be just as happy if her title was Chief Bottle Washer, Kate is our decisive, driven leader who is always the first to roll up her sleeves. When you get to know Kate it’s hard to decide if she’s a total contradiction or incredibly consistent. She’s polished and poised one day, and country girl, happy to be covered in mud the next. But you soon find that whether she’s running a marathon, sharing our mission with potential donors, or volunteering at her kid’s school, Kate is a powerhouse and you can rest assured that whatever the task, she is going after it with all her heart.
When Morgan takes on a project you better believe it’s going to be done well. A perfectionist by nature, she takes pride in executing every last detail with precision, making her the perfect person to lead our internal design and marketing projects. Morgan is blessed with the ability to empathize with those around her. She seamlessly connects with our Host Team, knowing that when our key volunteers are loved, supported, and connected to our mission, the respite weekend has the greatest impact on our guests. Morgan also serves as the liaison to our church partners; she is fiercely loyal to our mission of strengthening marriages and reminding guests that they are loved by God.

Raising a special needs child can be messy. Rory knows in her heart just how perspective can make all the difference. Asked for the worst case scenario when told their infant son had cerebral palsy, the doctor’s advice became her and husband’s, guiding principle… he simply said “I don’t know. You tell me”. Rory, our confident and classy Guest Relations Manager, is passionate about helping parents relax, re-connect with each other and regain that kind of perspective. Add something sparkly, a lobster roll and a decadent dessert and she’s one joyful lady!

Like a superhero saving the planet Nancy swoops in to smite down systematic redundancies and streamline processes to ensure order and efficiency. With a warm smile and a quiet power, Nancy has the ability to organize even the most chaotic situations and put anyone at ease. She delights in the details and has a panache for creating password prose that would make even a miser giggle. David’s Refuge is in good company on Nancy’s list of loves, with her son and husband ranking at the top and the Beatles a close second. While we may not be on the same page with joo joo eyeball, we know that All You Need is Love and we are happy to have hers!
