Tried-and-True Respite Locations

All eligible guests will receive a link to our calendar that will show the dates and corresponding location options we have for the full year. If all of our weekend spots have been filled, you will be placed on the waiting list for any cancellations.

We are always working on partnering with a variety of locations for our caregivers! We encourage you to look at all of the locations available and choose the one that fits you best. We do have several locations that offer accessible rooms. If this is something you need, please contact our office before booking your weekend.

When you arrive, you will be welcomed with a bottle of champagne, a welcome box of goodies, and a stipend to use for meals or activities on your weekend.

David’s Refuge offers weekends for caregiving couples and single parents. Both types of weekends provide a combination of opportunities to meet and connect with other caregivers and opportunities to relax, refresh and rejuvenate.

All caregiving couples and single parents will be paired with one of the volunteer Hosts. Hosts offer an opportunity for an ongoing relationship with a friend who “gets it”.

Important Note

Please note that on Caregiving Couple’s weekends, only the couple can attend. If a partner cannot attend, then a friend or other family member CANNOT fill in their place.

On Single Parent weekends, only 1 single parent can attend. A partner, friend, or anyone else cannot attend.
*Please also know that if you are in a relationship, you do not have to be married, you are welcome to apply as a Caregiving Couple and attend Weekends with other Couples.
