Moms Make Life Beautiful

Someone once said, “There is no way to be a perfect mother but a million ways to be a good one!”  My mother wasn’t perfect, but she was good, very good.  She sacrificed, she loved unconditionally, and she was tough but fair.  I am so very blessed to have called Ruby Belle Pfohl my mother.

I’m sure your mother wasn’t perfect either.  Like you and me, she is human.  Most likely she did the best she could.  I wonder if one of the best ways to celebrate this Mother’s Day is to simply say to ourselves, “I forgive you, Mom.”  You can fill in the blank of what she did or didn’t do.  I forgive you, three of the most powerful words ever spoken.  Are you willing to try?  Just whisper the words to yourself.  I forgive you, Mom!

I close with a challenge.  Would you post a picture of your mom and simply list three words that describe her?  Let’s celebrate moms in David’s Refuge style!

Here are two of my favorite pictures of my mom.  My three words: Servant, Resilient, Faithful.  I love and miss you, mom.
