As our communities experience constant change and uncertainty, here at David’s Refuge we are rising to the challenge and thinking outside the box! What we are certain of, is that this year’s Taste with a Twist will be held on the 11th of September, and the revenue it generates is needed now more than ever! We have some big ideas in store for our guests, so check back often for updates!

Meet Our Honorary Chairs
Beth and Bernie Coughlin
Beth and Bernie Coughlin are residents of Syracuse and have been married 30 years this November. Through their connection with David’s Refuge they have supported annual events such as A Taste of David’s Refuge, A Luncheon For Those Who Care at Destiny USA, Cookies with Santa, and Syracuse Auto Dealers Charity Preview. They assist several local charitable organizations, such as the Boys and Girls Club of Syracuse, where Beth was Co-Chair of the “Hoops for Hope” event as well as serving for several years on their Board. The Coughlins are committed to giving back to our community and are thrilled to help spread the mission of David’s Refuge this year!

Our Mission Chairs
Erin and Jimmy Gwin
Erin and Jimmy Gwin are transplants from New Jersey, calling Syracuse home for the last 18 years. Together they have 2 beautiful boys who light up their lives. Jonathan, 20, is a Junior in the Business School at Seton Hall University and Sam, 18, is a Super Senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School. Erin serves as the Operations Coordinator for Metis Consulting Group and Jimmy is an Auto Technician with Fayetteville Dodge.
While having a child with special needs was not something they were prepared for, the Gwin’s parenting journey has taught them more about themselves and others than they could have ever imagined. It is our honor and pleasure to have them join us as the 2020 Mission Chairs of A Taste of David’s Refuge.
