Share Your Story!

Today’s blog is a little different, and I need your help.

Would you take just two minutes to share a story of how David’s Refuge has impacted you? Whether it has encouraged you as an individual, strengthened your marriage, or brought hope to your family, we’d love to hear it.

Yesterday, we were interviewing a prospective Board member, and I found myself wanting to explain what makes David’s Refuge so special. I could share our mission statement:

MISSION: To provide respite, resources, and support to parents and guardians of children with special needs or life-threatening medical conditions where they will be refreshed, restored, and renewed in their role as caregivers.

But a mission statement can only say so much.

Your story brings that mission to life.

Your words reveal the encouragement you found when you felt alone, the friendships that were formed, the strength you discovered to keep going, and the hope that God provided through this community.

Stories have the power to inspire, encourage, and remind other parents that they are not alone. They also help others understand that David’s Refuge is more than a non profit, it is a community where weary caregivers are refreshed, restored, and renewed.
