Through your gifts, you give parents of children with special needs respite, wellness and community. You remind them they are not alone, what they do each and every day for their child matter, and that they are loved by God and this community.

Make an investment
Your gift makes a significant difference in the lives of local caregivers. Gifts of any size provide care for the caregiver. A donation of $600 covers a respite weekend for a couple while $300 sponsors an overnight. An investment of $1,000 will underwrite the cost of a Rhythm of Respite event, thoughtfully designed for families of all abilities to gather and enjoy community.

David’s Refuge hosts many fundraisers and inclusive community gatherings to raise funds throughout the year, including the Syracuse Auto Dealer Association Charity Preview each February and the Taste of David’s Refuge each September.

The Circle of Giving
Monthly gifts offer stability, hope and a promise for our future. A $50 commitment provides one respite weekend a year while just $20 covers child care for a guest. A monthly investment of $150 underwrites the cost of an entire weekend for three couples while an $85 monthly gift can underwrite the cost of a Rhythm of Respite event for families.

A simple desire to pay forward extravagant love. A knowledge that there is purpose to life beyond that which we see. In both his life and death, David inspired our founders to leave the caregiver community stronger than they found it.
Bequests are the easiest and most popular way to make a lasting impact on the lives of caregivers. It’s as simple as adding single sentence to your will or trust. Below you will find our preferred bequest language; take this to your attorney to use as a starting point.
