About Rebekah
Originally from New York’s North Country, Rebekah (known to most as Bekah or Beks) brings a background in media and a passion for meaningful connection to her role as Development Associate at David’s Refuge. She joined the team in January 2025 and now helps cultivate community partnerships and coordinate fundraising events that fuel the organization’s mission of supporting caregivers. Before transitioning to the nonprofit world, she spent eight years in New York City working in digital out-of-home advertising as Director of Ad Operations at Lightbox OOH Video Network. She later served as Campaign Operations Manager for ASM Global’s remote corporate team, supporting large-scale initiatives across the country. Now back in the 315, Bekah is still exploring all that Syracuse has to offer and is always up for meeting new people. She earned her BA in Communications from SUNY Cortland (go Red Dragons!). Outside of work, you’ll likely find her spending time with friends and family, catching live music, or training for her next race. In 2024, she ran the NYC Marathon and has recently started exploring the world of triathlons. She lives in Warners with her husband Jake and their two dogs, Sheila and Cooper.

Dedicating my time and efforts to an organization that will directly be supporting my community was a no brainer. As soon as I learned about David's Refuge and its mission, I just knew this is where I needed to be.
Right now my current dream is a UK trip with my husband Jake. I loved visiting England & Wales back in college, but Jake and I haven't visited together. We want to explore Scotland and spend time in London.
Truthfully I love a WIDE range of music, mostly indie music. But without a doubt: Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, and The Smiths.
My family and friends. I'm incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by people who never fail to inspire me, support me, motivate me, and teach me.
